American rapper Pitbull has signed a multi-year partnership with Tezos-based NFT platform OneOf. The partnership joins the list of celebrity partnerships that have blossomed in 2021.

Through a multi-year partnership, Armando Christian Perez, better known as the rapper Pitbull (aka Mr. 305 and Mr. Worldwide), preaches the values and work of OneOf, the NFT music platform backed by legendary music producer Quincy. Jones. OneOf is already in line to support digital collections for the Grammy Awards in early 2022, and so with the additional acquisition of international megastar Pitbull, OneOf’s mission to meet the music industry’s NFT needs continues.

Due to Pitbull’s immense international appeal, the partnership can also be viewed by OneOf as an astute marketing solution. Pitbull has strong ties to Latin America (primarily Cuba through his Cuban parents), which intuitively led to speculation that the partnership was in the expectation that the OneOf and Tezos brands would experience immense cross-border prominence through their relationship with Mr. Worldwide.

The partnership joins a long list of celebrity cryptocurrency partnerships that formed in 2021, most of which involve musicians, athletes, actors, and even astronauts. It is also believed that while Pitbull will initially preach OneOf, the limitless nature of cryptocurrency could lead to it launching its own NFTs in the future.
