It’s a sad fact that this is reality in 2016. It’s a sad fact that you couldn’t call those who pledged to serve & protect to commit that service & protection on your behalf — fearing that instead you might be unduly confronted as somehow an instigator. It’s sad that a time of renewal just shows that things have not yet changed. No matter our degrees, our zip code, our jobs, or even the sincerity of our loving hearts… some people will always see our color through the lens of the slave masters.
