How to check Food Labels

Do you really check labels while buying your food?

Weight loss would be more easy if you just control certain habits.
Here are some key habits you need to follow when you go for grocery or for some specific food.

1 Prepare your GROCERY LIST

2 Find Your SHOPPING Section

Shop mostly around the perimeter of the grocery store,where you can buy the following :

•Fruits and vegetables 
•Dairy
•Lean meats/leaner cuts of meat
•Whole grains
•Flax seeds
•Whole oats
•Healthy oils (olive oil,fish oil,etc)
•Whole grains
•Bulk nutrition

3 READING THE LABELS

This is the most important key area whenever you buy food you should read labels. Fact, there is always 20%-40% calorie margin (Shocking right ) while industrial products being tricked before getting labeled.

When checking the labels, avoid foods with
- Trans fats
Long ingredients list containing lots of artificial and added chemicals

- Healthy products that contain unhealthy additional sugars added (sucrose,glucose,sugar,maltodextrin,corn syrup,etc)

- Be skeptical of foods making health claims on package.
Includes:
• "Added vitamin and minerals "
• "Wholesome" or "healthy"
• "No added sugar "
• "contains real fruit"
• "Natural"
• "Fat free"
• "Low carb"
• "High protein"

4 Go for Economical

Be a discriminating shopper and choose the best foods at lowest prices.
When 2 products have same ingredients list,choose the less expensive one. Find butcher shop fruit shop they mostly charge less.
