What do Tony Brasunas, Spencer Thayer and John R. MacArthur have in common? In recent weeks they’ve all repackaged the same pablum about Hillary Clinton in effort to upend her campaign. They’re all also white, upper middle class, private college types, who have likely never faced any financial hardship. And yet they ask US to check OUR privilege or sign some dumb pledge that virtually ensures a Trump win in November. Why do they take this position? My guess is that they’re all on the RNC or Koch Bros’ payroll, or they’re so insulated from everyday realities that their lives won’t change no matter who wins in November.
