Chester Bennington, the long-time lead singer of Linkin Park, was found dead this morning at age 41 in his home in Los Angeles. Personally, for someone who grew up listening to Linkin Park, his death comes as a shock, especially as Linkin Park were in the final stage of One More Light world tour, scheduled to finish on 27 July in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

His death comes on what would have been his late friend Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday, who took his own life two months ago. Looking back, ‘Heavy‘ from Linkin Park’s One More Light [2017] may help understand Chester’s fight for mental health.

The truth is mental illness is real and the fight is hard and long. Tonight, there’s another star in the sky. MRR
