Don’t be fooled, Trump’s executive order is still a Muslim ban.

As the Trump administration reveals their newest attempt at a Muslim ban, here are some things to keep in mind.

President Trump promised to ban Muslims over and over again on the campaign trail. More specifically, he called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States…”

At the end of January, he signed an executive order to ban Muslims from entering the country.

Most of that ban has since been blocked by the courts and President Trump has issued a revision.

This is clearly a Muslim Ban. It may not a ban on all Muslims but it is a ban on almost-only Muslims.

Every country in the ban is almost entirely Muslim. Pew’s Global Religious Landscape notes that all six countries in the ban are more than 90 percent Muslim.

In a clear double-standard, predominately Christian countries like Colombia, the Philippines, and Venezuela didn’t make the list even though the State Department has listed them as “safe havens” for organizations designated as terrorist groups.

The White House may be feuding over the semantics and the media may be calling it a “travel ban” but make no mistake; This is the Muslim ban that President Trump promised.

The time to act is now. We must all stand together against President Trump’s anti-Muslim bigotry. Add your name now to say targeting people based on their religion is wrong:
