The Spirit Of FatherHood and Sonship.
Yes its true you heard the Lord speak to you about that ministry, business,job, guy or lady, to mention but a few. For sure, God speaks, and He speaks to all men,
how He speaks maybe can be another time to discuss, but little clues (1.Through His son Jesus by the power of His Spirit, The HolySpirit). This is how He primarily speaks to the New Covenant believers.
God, having spoken to the fathers long ago in [the voices and writings of] the prophets in many separate revelations [each of which set forth a portion of the truth], and in many ways, has in these last days spoken [with finality] to us in [the person of One who is by His character and nature] His Son [namely Jesus], whom He appointed heir and lawful owner of all things, through whom also He created the universe [that is, the universe as a space-time-matter continuum].
Hebrews 1:1-2 AMP
Ofcourse as the writer of Hebrews notes, In the Old, Not everyone would Hear God's voice, a selected few would. How blessed are we that all men who have accepted Jesus Christ, can Hear the voice of God.
But now hearing is not enough. Many can hear and have truly heard, YES, but do otherwise. Why? Because they lack the knowledge of interpretation. To every believer, Jesus is your wisdom (Paul calls Him the Hidden Wisdom), but also wisdom is broad, it has dimensions which some of us will never get by self. (May be one day we can again talk about wisdom when God grants the opportunity).
If we surely have all of it, then why James 1:5 be relevant? It means one can get lack of the Spirit of Wisdom.
So how do we get this knowledge or wisdom. James 1:5 says ask (pray). Now another problem, is that many of us its hard to pray and if we pray, we dont know how to ask🙂. That is why, we find ourselves in callings we were not called for, and doing wrong things in wrong times, maybe in the right places. How sad.
You find a pastor who was called to be a business man, and a business man who was called to be a tailor. Friends every dream needs an interpretor.
So Joshua what are you trying to say?
My pain is that we are in a vicious cycle of error caused by failure to obey the principles of God. We have belittled the position or office of FATHERS👴🧓. With fathers i mean both male and female, briefly lets say mentors. So who is a mentor? My definiton is simple, ' He/She is one who leads you with the wisdom of God.'
The world's greatest problem is that mentors dont want to be mentors, and mentees dont have time for mentors. Its funny but sad. In Africa where i come from, most rich people cant share knowledge with those who come to them, and then most aspiring young business prenuers are not ready and willing to get that knowledge.
People say spiritual fathering is not scriptural, oh maybe you are right but also so wrong. I have allowed my writing to be 100% the word, i dont write unless it has a scriptual backup. See all the bigger figures in the Bible, Paul, Timothy, Titus, Joseph, Moses Joshua, Elijah, David, JESUS. Actually before we even start you already see who the fathers were and who the children were. Paul was a Father to the Corinthians, and to all the churches he wrote to, begetting them in Christ Jesus.
So lets not belittle this message of fatherhood it is Principal a thing. I will tell you, its surely hard to be under someones feet. It is painful to always see his faults and mistakes, sometimes you feel like you are wiser, BTW its the problem of this globe. Everyone knows🙂. 'Have you heard that statement wisdom is killing me?' Surely its killing us.
Do you want a double Portion? You will not only see the chariot but will also serve (carry Elijahs briefcase), and cross the Jordan. The questions should be many, the listening doubled and the obedience quadrupled. Hebrews 13:17
Every person needs an Instructor to teach him/her, and also serve under. Are we willing and ready to go through the pain of serving and being taught. Most of us have lost purpose just because we didnt have a father. Adam and Eve only lost purpose when they disconnected from the Father. The prophets at that school in 1 Kings where not ready to follow Elijah, they must have thought he is another rude old man, thank God there was an Elisha. But do you know the mantle Elisha had found no son to take, so it remained in his bones? Gehazi must have been a teriible son😭
Btw inheritance in Africa is also another big problem, do we even know why America, The Great Britain and the rest of Europe grew to be Giant capitalist nations? They understood the spirit of fatherhood.
Whosoever understands the principles of God wins His promises.
I personally happened to get the chance and become the heir of my late Dad (RIP), had i not understood his vision (by the help of fathers or caretakers), i think i would have turned his small rentals into a city posh club, i would be a Celeb(as y'all call them) who lost inheritance.
Not every successful father must be a worthy father. Some are meandering their way through with wrong knowledge, but anyway things are working out for them.
The instructor must also be able to listen to the HolySpirit, and his or her role is to help you discern the voice of God, and teach you a number of other things. Dont jump on every father because he is successful, the Bible says Wisdom shall be justified by her deeds. Mathew 11:19. Luke 7:35, actually says her children (meaning results)
Watch the Father's results, (what i mean the fruit of the HolySpirit). Samuel didnt just grow in any Priest house, the mother was selective. She said i want Eli. Note that fathers are also human, they are prone to error, dont be so expectant, that is why fathers also need fathers till they mature in FatherHood (show me a pastor without a pastor, a business don without another don). Eli was a priest and needed a priest, who at that time had not appeared to men.
The Young Adults and many other people ( ofcourse i mainly communicate to young people), today have lost interest in fathers, why (am also yet to findout, but i think we assume as young men we can do it on our own and we always want to prove a point). So when we fail out then we look for fathers only if we care, or give up and then quote favourite sayings 'May be its God's Will'
As a young boy who has grown up without a biological father, i will tell you i have messed up a number of times. Ofcourse I acknowledged God as my Supernatural Dad, but one thing i have learnt, no one can survive without an ELI, JETHRO, ELIJAH, SAMUEL, PHOTIPHAR, or Paul in Life. Even Jesus had a Father, actually two of them.
Most marriages have broken up because the fathers have left their roles or never understood their roles and took on roles of the mothers. To settle the debt, most mothers today have become fathers, nevertheless we see rising agendas of feminism and all sorts of that. Am not belittling that, but hey! the point is fathers lost their job. They wanted an easier role.
The Problem is spiritual. It can never be physical till it is spiritual first. Many fathers are tired of being fathers. Men turn themselves into women, and women into men.
Sadly the world today has many instructors more than fathers. Everyone thinks they are wise. Paul talked about this, he saw it: 1 Corinthians 4:15
Am not a father yet (one day i will), am also under the authority of many fathers, that is why i even watch out what i post on social media, and how i dress up. Am under training. Did you know Paul went through 13 years of training to actually be one of the priceless apostles, oh what about Jesus, we see him at 12 and again at 30 what was he doing in all those unscripted years? Some say He was in India😂 funny, not so. Jesus was training and maturing not in anything else but wisdom and favor, The word sat at the feet of the Word, being taught at the Synagogue.
See we quote this lots of time; Faith comes by Hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But the question is do we even know how to hear the voice of God, ok if we know, then how many of us can 100% interprete then the Word? Ohh sure you will tell me you have the HolySpirit, that is beautiful to know. But God works like this, He works through Men [Mature men] to work through You.
Btw the devil has mastered how to wrap himself in light, and speak nice things. You need a father to help you discern.
There are many Keys to kingdom advancement, we cant exhaust all of them. But this key i know, Fathers. The fathers have grown to a measurable level of wisdom we the young have not, and we shall only progress when we sit at their feet and learn. Until we come to this reality, attempts to change Uganda, Africa and the globe would be a waste. Africa, give each person a Father, and see how we become super powers.
Maybe lets ask who is the Child and then who is the Father? Its funny how some children are fathers and fathers are children. I know of an age mate who buys food at home while the father stays home to play FIFA🤣(Yall know yourselves, but we shall talk about later)
Children, the young and the old, submit your selves to Authority. What is Submission, we talk about it but do we know what it is. It is more than an agreement, its a revelation.
You want to be an Evangelist, Pastor, Apostle, Lawyer, Doctor, etc Submit. The systems of the world will not teach you all, the office of experience will.
God can never trust you with the life of other people till you submit yourself to the life of authority. I have seen many politicians belittling presidents, i think that is wrong have you gotten the opportunity to ask them WhatsApp? A change in ideology is not evil, it becomes evil when you get so easily taken by ego.
Anyway, i know Africa's problem, it's also hard to meet the Big men at times, they think you will over throw them. But thats not the point, request for that appointment atleast let him or her turn it down. David sat at the feet of Saul, even after he was annointed. (I can feel his urge to sit on that throne man)
Why am i writing this?, Because i know the Lord is in the business of restoring Fathers back to children and children back to fathers. It was prophesied in Malachi 4:6 . Its enough drop the ego and pride and learn.
Lastly, when i was in highschool, we used to read magazines of kids from bigger schools, and we would be excited if one of the kids says my role model is Jayz, Kanye, Kim, Beyonce, etc. It was nice, but yo! It was lust. When will you meet Jayz? Actually he also has never met himself, does he know his identity? And to the parents, dont ask yourself why your kid puts on and talks like Jayz, LilWayne or Rihana, you just weren't a good father or mother to look upto. (Apologies if i over stepped)
We have accepted the world and its desires to be our role models 'fathers', just because they are successful. Young people there can only be one role model who was successful in all, and you know the answer, JESUS THE KING OF ALL KINGS, ALL WISDOM. Personally i have changed my mentality of who i want to be.
We have this common saying less of me and more of you, Hey that was copied from somewhere i dont know. Its gat to be only Him in us. Not less of the pride or ego.
Follow Jesus, see how he will make you a better son. In His sight you are actually a progressing son, He wants to help you walk like him, talk like him, minister like him. And guess what He has poured all His heart in some responsible fathers around you.
To the fathers and mothers, forget what failed out, embark on a new path of parenthood looking unto Jesus. All your children need is LOVE, you were so much beating them, and they feared you, so they ran to Kanye who doesnt beat them. Its possible to be like Jesus, that was the original order intended for fatherhood, Adam looked unto Jesus for parenting wisdom. Dont ever get tired of opening your arms for the lost kid, however much he ashames you in public.
To the child who slipped off or one who doesnt know the best Father Jesus, He is the only one who came as man, died for all your sin, resurrected from the dead, and paid all your debt. NOW, is the only opportunity to have him in your life, He will mess it positively for His glory. Believe this in your heart and confess with your mouth that He is Lord of all, YOU ARE SAVED, SIMPLE!! Welcome to our Family🙂.
