The Everlasting Porcelain

For nearly 4,000 years, porcelain has been appreciated for its strength, smooth and delicate texture and appealing color. White gold, as it was called in the 18th century, is an unique and demanding medium to work with. A potter has to have exceptional skills and confidence, high level of attention to detail and a lot of patience because it takes an investment in time to produce quality porcelain.

In spite of the mass production of porcelain, the demand for handmade and hand-painted pottery of high quality has not decreased to this day. Contemporary makers search for new designs, styles and methods of production continuously pursuing excellence in the craft in order to preserve the status of handmade porcelain as the most precious.
