In the last few months, many of your favorite projects have launched a token migration. Why migrate? Well, there are a multitude of reasons, but the only thing you need to know is that it’s relatively pointless NOT to do it.
The good news is that you can do everything you need to from MyCrypto.
MyCrypto will detect if you have any un-migrated tokens in any of your accounts, and will notify you to migrate.
Some migrations require one step, and some require two.
You can reach the tools from your dashboard notification, or visit them directly:
$REP to v2: app.mycrypto.com/migrate/rep
$ANT to v2: app.mycrypto.com/migrate/ant
$GNT to $GLM: app.mycrypto.com/migrate/golem
$LEND to $AAVE: app.mycrypto.com/migrate/aave

Energy Web Chain (“EWC”) is a blockchain designed to be used for the energy sector. Its utility token is Energy Web Token (“EWT”) and this article will explain how you can access these tokens using MyCrypto.
EWC is a separate network and blockchain from Ethereum and is not a token on the Ethereum blockchain. The term “token” may cause confusion, but keep in mind that EWT is separate from Ethereum.
Additionally, there is an ERC20 version of EWT, called EWTB. You can convert your EWT to EWTB, and vice versa, via the bridge that we discuss below.
You can use MyCrypto’s network switcher to change your interface to use the Energy Web Chain, instead of the Ethereum network that MyCrypto connects to by default. …
Cryptocurrency is inherently risky. It’s a harsh, unforgivable landscape.
That risk becomes exponential when you enter decentralized finance.
If you’re reading this, there’s a chance that any of the following may have happened to you:
Literally. All of us have been there in some way, shape, or form. We have all blundered and lost crypto. It’s not an ‘if,’ it’s a ‘when.’
People don’t often talk about their losses because it’s not fun. If someone is in crypto, they’ve been in this boat at some point in time. …
Until recently, the mobile crypto experience left more to be desired. Thankfully, WalletConnect helps fix this.
WalletConnect enables you to use dapps easily, on both mobile and desktop, via your mobile wallet. It even enables you to connect to MyCrypto so you can have one portfolio view of all your wallets — desktop and mobile.
It’s as simple as scanning a QR code with your phone.
1. On the add account screen, select WalletConnect, and the Ethereum network.
2. Once you do this, it will display a QR code. Depending on which mobile wallet you are using, you either just scan the QR code the same way you would for any other mobile transaction, or check inside your settings for a WalletConnect option. …
MyCrypto Beta 2.2.3 is all about your transactions. Making them faster, fixing the stuck ones, and giving you visibility on all of them. 🤩
You’ll now be able to see an in-depth transaction history of all of the accounts you’ve added to MyCrypto — in a friendly and easy-to-understand format.
Previously, you were only able to see transactions that you sent via MyCrypto. Now, you’ll see transactions regardless of where they happened!
This upgrade to the Ethereum network is primarily a change to its infrastructure. If you hold ether, use MyCrypto, or use one of the popular DeFi protocols, you don’t have to do anything, as ETH2 will be compatible with the Ethereum network you use today. The ETH that exists today will remain the same; this network upgrade will not result in a new token.
Ethereum’s massive network upgrade, the one that everyone is waiting for, is well on its way. There are a handful of things to consider with ETH2, including the transition from PoW to PoS and the introduction of shards and the beacon chain. …
This MyCrypto Beta release sees the launch of the Hardware Wallet Scanner, TX Status, the REP migration widget, and a MyCrypto app migration!

One of the hot topics in our support box for a while now has been related to finding proper Ledger and Trezor derivation paths.
From now on, you’ll no longer have to worry about this — we’ll handle it for you with our new ✨Hardware Wallet Scanner!✨
Just plug in your hardware wallet and click “Scan.” The scanner will then search your hardware wallet from top to bottom — through all the derivation paths and all the valleys and mountaintops — and display all of the accounts that hold your crypto. …
When markets get exciting, it’s time to batten down the hatches. New people are entering the space and will soon be exposed to scams and phishing sites.
A new crypto user and their crypto are easily parted.
Here are a few ways to prevent that.
A hardware wallet holds your private key within the device and protects it from being exposed. It’s recommended to use a hardware wallet for cold storage (the funds you don’t plan to touch).
MyCrypto Beta 2.1.0 is the launch of a few massive features that have undergone a lot of work—from product decisions to design to development to QA across all the wallet types… in the worst gas situation to date.
We’re not going to lie — the 100, 200, and 300+ gwei gas prices deflates things a little bit. That being said, we’re too excited about our new Protected Transactions and MyCrypto Memberships and are putting them into the wild so you can experience them and let us know what you think.
Maybe it’s just us, but whenever we send large amounts around we end up on the edge of our seat with too many browser tabs open. 😬 It’s anxiety-inducing! Is the address right? Has my keyboard been compromised? Did I copy the right address? …
When the markets go up, everything feels good again. The blood in the streets has been replaced with rose petals, a weight is lifted off your shoulders, and you can breathe easily. All seems right in the world.
But that can easily all go wrong again. It’s important to keep your head about you at all times because even if the market is trending upwards, you as an individual can screw everything up for yourself if you’re not careful.
The below is relevant at all times, but is especially relevant when you’re getting excited about the market.
When the markets go up, the number of scams and phishing sites go up. More people are entering the space to buy and trade, and more bad actors hoping to take your money are coming with them. …
