John has a new show on MsNBC called “Liguizamo Does America” where he “ travels across America to bring viewers inside America’s thriving Latino communities”.
John has been doing interviews with various media outlets to promote the show.
In these interviews, he has been appropriating Black Americans’ language AND their history to tell the “story of Latinos in America”
He says things like “I found Latin Excellence everywhere”. He didn’t create the that term. What he did was appropriate the term “Black Excellence” from Black Americans and replace “Black” with “Latin ”.
