There are often times when I can breathe nothing but fire, cry nothing but acid and walk only in darkness for fear the light will burn my toxic skin.

I’m wasted, run dry and used.

I was innocent once. I played in the sun, smiled at the world and saw its wonder. Eyes wide and mind ready to learn.

The lessons were too much. My immature mind wasn’t ready for a grown mans affections. Nor too be mentally crushed to keep me at heel.

My eyes dimmed, I sought no more learning. Only to go quietly, unseen through this life.

Don’t make waves.

Say please and thank you. Do your chores and try your best to keep your mind in the classroom, on your maths homework or your dolls.

Everything is fine.

Everything is fine.

Everything is fine.
