This summer make the ultimate summertime desserts — campfire s’mores.

Campfire s’mores are the original s’mores, where marshmallows are toasted over and open flame and sandwiched with a piece of chocolate between two crisp graham crackers.

Ingredient list: graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows and fire-proof skewers.

Tip: You can use any chocolate but milk chocolate seems to melt better.

Directions:

  1. Skewer your marshmallows and toast them until golden brown over an open flame.

2. While the marshmallows toast, place a chocolate square on a graham cracker. Squish marshmallow onto chocolate using a second piece of graham cracker.

3. Allow to melt and cool just enough not to burn your tongue!

4. Take a bite and savor the deliciousness!

CAMPFIRE CONES

A fun twist to a traditional S’more and can be customized with endless possibilities!

For a sweet treat, add bananas, strawberries, chocolate chips and marshmallows into Joy cones (which are made right here in Flagstaff).

Bonus: Go gourmet and try these campfire recipes.

Enjoy your creations and happy camping!
