The Relentless Bias Against Donald Trump
Dave Pell

While it is true that there are a lot of accusations of bias in the media. By the president and his proxies, or more ludicrously, but other members of the media.

The irony is that the aggressive anti-press stance of the president has actually pushed a lot of our entertainment news outlets to become more objective and journalistic.

The Rachel Maddow Show has seen a huge increase in it’s ratings. The Guardian and Washington Post are both seeing large numbers of new readers as well.

CNN is of course flailing, having a harder time to change their behavior from business as usual news-tainment, to the new normal, where they are expected to actually ask pointed questions, cite sources and do in depth reporting.

Of course we saw a hiccup in this rapid return to basic principles of reporting. As soon as the American military started shooting missiles, the press returned to it’s role as appointed role, and was lavishing praise on the president. Brian Williams soils his pants in patriotic ecstasy. Where a few hours before on the same network Trump was being excoriated for his corrupt behavior.
