NTENT’s constant effort as an organization to bring meticulous services to our global client base through various projects, using cutting-edge semantic search and natural language processing technologies, requires the input of several talented individuals working together as a team. Today we introduce you to five of our amazing NTENTionalists from the areas of Finance, Client Delivery, Account Management, Human Resources and Reporting.

David Peterson: Senior Product Analyst

“I’m excited to be part of a team that is constantly pushing the comprehensiveness of the actionable data we collect while also devising dramatically more efficient ways to portray and share such complex data.”

David works at our Carlsbad, CA location. He is responsible for building data visualizations and resources to communicate key performance insights and indicators that facilitate decision making internally, and communicate current product status to our external partners.

Q: NTENT is a technology company focused on Search and Natural Language Processing. What do you enjoy most about working for a company specializing in these areas?

A: I find the science behind determining users’ search interests in real-time and serving them with the best possible results, fascinating! As someone who has spent most of my career working for companies that are forced to take a reactionary approach to data, I’ve greatly enjoyed working with an innovative team in such a progressive space.

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement during your time at NTENT, either on your own or within your team?

A: I’m excited to be part of a team that is constantly pushing the comprehensiveness of the actionable data we collect while also devising dramatically more efficient ways to portray and share such complex data.

Q: Who has inspired you throughout your career and in what ways?

A: My parents have constantly supported my interests, whatever they may be. In addition, several supervisors along the way have entrusted me in areas outside of my established skill set, giving me room to gain a more complete understanding of various projects and become a more impactful member of the team.

Eric Angus: Director Revenue Accounting

“I love working with the people we have and seeing the different points of view and ideas come to fruition through our product offerings.”

Eric has worked for NTENT since its inception, based in our Vienna, VA office. He is responsible for revenue recognition, contract interpretation and managing our billing, payment acceptance and collections processes. He also handles our corporate insurance needs and other ad hoc Finance duties as needed.

Q: NTENT is a technology company focused on Search and Natural Language Processing. What do you enjoy most about working for a company specializing in these areas?

There are many things I like about working for our company. I love working with the people we have and seeing the different points of view and ideas come to fruition through our product offerings. I’m fortunate in that I get to experience the internal processes that go into the development of our products and then work with our customers to hear their thoughts and get feedback.

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement during your time at NTENT, either on your own or within your team?

A: I like to think that learning to adapt to an ever-changing landscape in our line of business has been a great accomplishment. As we continue to develop new ways of producing revenue within our organization one must always stay abreast of the ways in which that revenue can be recognized. Since we are a small company I like to contribute in any way I can to ensure tasks are being completed to achieve success for the company as well as keep our customers happy.

Q: Who has inspired you throughout your career and in what ways?

A: I gain inspiration from many things in life. Sometimes the smallest things can bring about the biggest inspiration if you look at them in the right manner. However, I would say that my parents have been my biggest inspiration in life and throughout my career. Both of my parents were in the Air Force and I have learned a lot from the experiences that go along with military life. Two lessons I’ve come to live by are to always put your best effort into whatever task is in front of you and always lead by example.

Alexandra Gregory: Client Services Manager, EMEA & APAC

“NTENT is home to several incredibly talented people from diverse backgrounds who are refreshingly willing to share their knowledge and support one another as they strive for success.”

Based in the United Kingdom, Alexandra works as Client Services Manager for the client delivery team, supporting EMEA and APAC regions. She helps ensure smooth delivery by keeping a fluid line of communication between internal teams and clients while monitoring/analyzing product performance and resolving any issues that arise. As a previous member of the B2B team, she spent many years building, maintaining and growing relationships between publishers, sales teams and advertisers.

Q: NTENT is a technology company focused on Search and Natural Language Processing. What do you enjoy most about working for a company specializing in these areas?

A: Coming from a non-technological background it was brilliant to find myself working with people filled with enthusiasm and willing to share their knowledge. I have experienced the company’s trajectory shift from a small area of focus to a broad scope of products and solutions that continue to evolve. As a client-facing employee, I have had the good fortune and privilege to work with many people from different industries and backgrounds at various stages of their career. NTENT is home to several incredibly talented people from diverse backgrounds who are refreshingly willing to share their knowledge and support one another as they strive for success.

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement during your time at NTENT, either on your own or within your team?

A: As an individual and as part of the B2B team, it has been an integral part of my role to establish strong, lasting relationships with clients. As part of the wider team, it has been a real inspiration to see how the company has grown and evolved. The technological capabilities and product scope have increased many times over.

Q: Who has inspired you throughout your career and in what ways?

A: At the beginning of my career I had a lot of support and encouragement when I had no idea in what direction I was headed; I am still in touch with those people to this day. Here at NTENT, my colleague Helen Murphy inspires me daily. Initially, we worked together on the B2B side of the business but since then her role has changed significantly. As new challenges frequently present themselves, she handles them effortlessly. She was a huge support when I had to step up to cover the role she vacated, and continues to do the same for me now as I become fully immersed in current and future projects.

Q: NTENT is a technology company focused on Search and Natural Language Processing. What do you enjoy most about working for a company specializing in these areas?

A: I love being at the intersection of technology and human behavior. This is an amazing time in history where machines are enabling us to understand humanity like never before.

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement during your time at NTENT, either on your own or within your team?

It’s early for me to brag about any achievements, but so far I’m proud of jumping in with both feet, taking time to listen, learn and get to know this rockstar team.

Q: Who has inspired you throughout your career and in what ways?

A: Early in my career, I attended business school at night with a former boss of mine who inspired me to have fun through all our hard work. We spent many late nights studying, but we shared a lot of laughs in the process. He taught me what it meant to serve in the trenches with someone and always have their back, no matter what.

Last year, I read a book called Principles, written by Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater, one of the largest hedge funds. Dalio is known for being one of the few investors to predict the 2008 economic crisis. His book inspired me to operate with brutal honesty, humility and clearly defined principles to guide decisions and behavior.

Joseph Bennett: Senior Technical Recruiter

“My favorite thing about NTENT is how their unique positioning has given me the opportunity to be part of an industry usually reserved for a handful of large search companies.”

Based in our Carlsbad, CA office, Joseph works as a Senior Technical Recruiter for NTENT, responsible for finding top technical talent to help the company grow.

Q: NTENT is a technology company focused on Search and Natural Language Processing. What do you enjoy most about working for a company specializing in these areas?

Q: What do you consider your greatest achievement during your time at NTENT, either on your own or within your team?

A: Being NTENT’s first full-time internal recruiter allowed me to build out the recruiting process from the ground up. My HR team and I were able to assess the needs of the company and derive a plan to hire the best talent in a timely fashion. As a result, we’ve brought in several valuable team members who have made a big impact helping NTENT achieve its goals.

Q: Who has inspired you throughout your career and in what ways?

A: Throughout my career, my mother has been my biggest inspiration. Growing up, she gave me the freedom to choose my own path and pushed me to be the best at what I chose. As a single mother with a well-established nursing career, I attribute a great deal of my own success to the example she set and the inspiration she gave me.
