Investment Analyst / Associate (São Paulo — Hybrid)

NXTP Ventures, the leading B2B venture capital firm in Latin America, is currently looking to hire an Analyst / Associate to join our investment team based out of São Paulo.

The fund invests in technology start-ups at the pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages with initial checks ranging from $1 million to $5 million+, applying a thesis-driven investing approach across several B2B technology verticals, including Cloud & Software (enterprise, mid-market, SMB), FinTech & Payments, E-Commerce and Enablers, B2B Marketplaces, and Data & AI amongst others. In addition to capital, we work closely with founders and draw on our deep network in Latin America to identify the region’s best entrepreneurs and actively help them expand their businesses to other countries and globally in many cases.

The Analyst / Associate Position

The Analyst / Associate will have the opportunity to work closely with the partners at the fund in all the aspects of the investment process, portfolio and fund management, including:

• New investments: identifying new investment opportunities, market and industry research, meeting Latin American founders and attending industry events / conferences, searching for potential investments and attractive business models across Latin America;
• Due Diligence: data gathering and analysis for the development of investment theses for potential new investments, interviewing the company’s team, its partners, clients and providers to fully understand the business, its uniqueness and its challenges to evaluate new investment opportunities;
• Work with Portfolio Companies: work closely with portfolio founders and teams across various strategic and operational aspects of the companies, including business plan development, strategic advice, fundraising, operational needs, recruiting, and more;
• Fund Management: participate in internal investment committees and support on strategic portfolio discussions, performance assessments, and material preparations for existing and prospective investors and LPs.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a small team with high exposure to the entrepreneurial and venture capital industries around Latin America.

Candidate’s Profile

• Education: exemplary academic record at a top university with a degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related careers;
• Job Experience: at least 1–2 years of experience working in Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Tech Startup, or leading corporations;
• Languages: English and Portuguese required;
• Skills and Personal Attributes: strong passion for investing and technology, intellectual curiosity and desire for learning and growth, analytical and quantitative skills and attention to detail, work ethic, team player, proactive, and high ethical standards;
