This September, history will be made at the 2024 HBCU New York Classic, an event that promises to be more than just a thrilling football showdown. On September 14th, MetLife Stadium will not only host the much-anticipated game between Morehouse College and Howard University, but it will also be the stage for the inaugural World’s Largest Divine Nine Stroll Line — a celebration that will bring the energy and spirit of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to a whole new level.
The HBCU New York Classic: A Homecoming for All
Dubbed the “World’s Largest HBCU Homecoming,” the HBCU New York Classic is more than just a game; it’s a celebration of Black excellence, culture, and community. This year, the event is taking things up a notch by shining a spotlight on the Divine Nine — the historically Black Greek-letter organizations that have long been pillars of leadership, service, and unity within the Black community.

For the first time ever, members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., will unite in a monumental display of unity and pride.
