how to keep your fridge full
My sister once told me a story of an old man who bought a refrigerator at his local electric appliance store. After it was delivered to him the man returned to the store with steam coming from his ears and nose, this was because the fridge did not contain the foodstuffs it contained in ad. And so he was referred to the store manager who then bought some food items for him to stock his fridge. Now the last part of the story may not be true, in-fact the whole story could have been just a joke but i do believe there are some lessons to be learned from it.

Lesson 1: Do not trust advertisements. Well i do not mean that in a direct way but what am trying to point out is that in life there are things that are hyped up to be more than they really are, and it is only once you acquire or experience them you find out that everything else was just a ploy to grab your attention. What it really is is a play on the human nature of wanting to get more than they paid for, people just love free stuff. Another more saddening ordeal is the promise society and the education system give to the youth. We are told from a very young age that we should go to school and then University, and then get a good job and then you can have your dream house. But as you get older you begin to realize that the is more to life than that, you do not have to go down the road which in most cases leads to a life of mediocrity.
Lesson 2: Kindness is brings wealth. In this story the manager of the store instead of explaining to the old man that the groceries in the ad are just to display the use of the appliance, he chose to show some kindness to his customer. Not only would this send a message to customers that their store cares and have good way to deal with misunderstanding, but it also sends a message to everyone one that humility and kindness can buy kindness. It also buys leverage, because now all the locals know where to buy their fridges and when i am an old man i am going to try what the old man did on a number of companies just for fun.
