(269): “A Nice Piece”

A one line poem for Anita Rajan’s Chalkboard prompt “Piece”

Early morning bleary-eyed,

Combing through estate sale goods —

And then I hear it:

“That’s a nice piece.”

If it’s the seller, the prices will be high;

If it’s the buyer, she’s a pirate.


End Note: A bit of observation my husband made long ago from his experiences at estate and yard sales.
