Despair of the Nursemaid

Image by simpleinsomnia via Flickr. Image cropped. License.
Lost in deep waters,
Sinking under the weight
Of another’s dissipation,
His only care is for lost loves
That are not me.
All I can do is nursemaid
The next dose into shaking hands
And listen to the litany
That pounds the message deeper
Into my too-open mind —
You are not loved,
But you are needed.
One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
