So what’s your definition of “hate?” I draw the distinction between people and ideas. One can hate an idea without hating the people who hold that idea. While I don’t agree with Antifa’s method, their anti-fascist views are in effect a hatred for a philosophy/ideology, not a hatred for white supremacists themselves. But the white supremacists I have seen tend to beat up on Blacks for being Black and mistreat women because women are supposedly inferior. I have met many people, some of them family, who hold opinions that certain races and types of people are inferior. It is a dangerous and debunked philosophy holdover from the late 19th/early 20th century, and it needs to die. The people who hold that philosophy, though, can eventually see through it. For that, I can hold out hope.
