That is the point I was making about how Trump came to be elected. He appeared to speak for this large group of people that felt they didn’t have a voice. I think the whole white supremacist thing is merely the bleeding edge of a larger societal problem, and you’re right: there is a problem with who is being listened to at the higher levels of government. While the election of Trump seemed to answer the concerns of many disenfranchised folks, his divisiveness has fanned the flames of the worst parts of the divided groups. It is essential that the real concerns of the people who have lost their jobs and have no prospects are addressed before this divide of hate takes over.
