Formerly the president of the Lost Creek Neighborhood Association, Nancy Naeve helped with efforts to create two public parks in the 1250-home Austin neighborhood. In her 40 years as a resident of Austin, Nancy Naeve has also been an active member of the Lost Creek Home and Garden Club.

First established in 1972, the Lost Creek Home and Garden Club meets monthly in a member’s home and provides the opportunity for socialization and connection among Lost Creek residents. Open to women of any age, the club accepts 15 associate members and 40 full-time members.

In addition to caring for flower beds at the neighborhood’s entrance, the club takes field trips to area attractions such as wineries, the governor’s mansion, and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

The club hosts various speakers who inform residents on topics ranging from caring for succulents to financial planning for women. Together, club members designate a yard of the month and choose annual winners of the Holiday Light Awards.
