To me, this means sharing outside of the classroom. If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound? If a student shares only in the classroom, did they create?

With the tree, it makes a sound, but the sound has no purpose or meaning. It just is. No one knows anything happened.

When a student creates something that is only shared in the classroom, or just with the teacher — it is the same. Students want meaning and purpose. Technology allows us to share with a broader audience, to give students that meaning and purpose.
