How to achieve absolutely any goal

DAY 11 OF THE 30 DAY WRITING CHALLENGE

How do I lose 20 kilos in 3 months?
(Probably an intense workout plan and a protein rich diet)

How do I have a popular blog with thousands of daily visitors?
(By writing every day over a long period of time, and then maybe there will be some traction)

How do I quit my job and start my own gig?
(Stop watching Suits, cut down on weekend entertainment and many sleepless nights hashing out my ideas)

Deep inside, we all know exactly what we need to do in order to achieve our goals. We may not know that we know, but we do.

Then why don’t we just do it?

Because it seems so damn hard! Too unachievable and way too much work. So we stop!

But how do ‘they’ do it? How come ‘they’ don’t stop?

It seems like the key is to break it down into small bite-sized goals. Take baby steps. Pivot along the way. Often times fail but eventually get there. Because the one who fails the most, wins!

So let’s start again..

How do I lose 20 kilos in 3 months?
(Run for 10 min every day and have oats instead of buttered toast for breakfast)

How do I have a popular blog with thousands of daily visitors?
(Start by writing a small post, once every week)

How do I quit my job and start my own gig?
(Cut cable, do brain dump on a piece of paper and make a goal setting plan for the next 4 weeks)

And just like that..it begins to look a little achievable. There is motivation to take action.

Taking action is key and ignoring the gremlins in our head critical.

Once we start, and we are consistent and we show up every single day, things somehow start taking shape.

And the best part is that the final shape looks nothing like the original idea. For some, thats an exciting enough a reason to start!
