It’s coffee break. You scroll through your facebook feed to see which of your so-called ‘friends’ have put some more ‘dog poop’ to show how happy, pretty and successful they are. Or you go across to that cubicle, speak to the new intern, discover that he/she loves to code on the side and will be happy to build your site for free.
Eat bread butter toast every morning or have oats with fruits.
Beer & lazy boy couch on a Friday evening. Or beer and other like-minded creatives in the meetup event.
We’ve got different amounts of everything — money, resources, network, stamina, grit. The only one asset that everyone knows everyone’s got the same amount of, is time. How we choose to use it, is totally on aunty Margaret (us).
What we don’t have, is the right to complain. Because it’s never been easier to become exactly who we want to become. Be able to do exactly what we dream of doing. And realise that the reasons for not doing are nothing but baseless excuses. Deep inside, we all know this is true, but very few of us are willing to accept it.
The few who have accepted it, have not turned on their TV in months.
