Whoop-De-Doo. Finally I can get that over 25 band at NH7 Weekender. (Atleast without charming my way into it).

This is supposed to be monumental, but doesn’t really feel so. It’ll take its time I guess. But primarily, the reason for this blog is what I’m doing with my BFF Shrija for Nanhi Kali.

Nanhi Kali is a NGO which enables girl child education. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with them indirectly, well enough to understand their operations. They have two block figures, INR 3000/year which funds the education of a primary class girl for a year, and INR 4200/year which funds the education of a secondary class girl for a year. The funds boil down to a mere INR 10 to send a girl child to school for a day.

You can read more about it on http://www.nanhikali.org/what-we-do/index.aspx

Shrija’s birthday is on the 27th of January, just a day after mine. We’ve started a crowdfunding campaign on Impact Guru for a total of INR 7200 which would cover one primary level and one secondary level girl child. We will also match up to INR 8000 for the total donations if the campaign target is hit. Which means 4 girl children can go to school for a whole year. Now that seems a good place to start with.

The campaign is live now and ends on the 29th January. Please contribute Rs.10 if you want. That’s good enough for a day. Or smash that donate button all you want! ❤

Let’s do this! :D
