I’d say Asimov was an inspiration, but I happened to have devised something like an homage and response to his Foundation saga with my universe in general before I have read it. :D At this point, it is not yet clear who’s point of view would this be told from, but the moment I would apply it to a specific story or in a specific context, I would of course refocus it from a personal perspective.
