As a tech person (sorry), I feel like one of the major stress points we should be working on is the process of development itself — so many niche groups have formed with so much assumed knowledge that the barrier to entry for development can be very high. I feel that simple, easy-to-use development tools would be a great step toward allowing less technical individuals to address the problems that would never occur to Silicon Valley-types.
Sometimes the best way to think outside the box is just to ask somebody who doesn’t know what the box is.
