Your College Degree is Worthless
Isaac Morehouse

Of course not all jobs require a degree. Academia has its problems, not least of which is a lack of effective communication with broader society which feeds this sort of thing. Nevertheless some graduates gain an understanding of the world that facilitates critical assessment of contemporary issues in society, among other things. Obviously not every graduate gets a useful education, or even close to one apparently. To frame the above piece so absurdly, when most people pondering that step are still in high school, strikes me as pretty irresponsible. I suggest going elsewhere for advice. No, you don’t need a degree, but if you get one, its worth will be mostly up to you.
