I have been witnessing it during last 3 years. I guess that many people try to act important because of their surroundings. They simply can’t accept that fact that others have achieved this and that … And although they complain about big egos, they are slowly becoming a part of the community of those egos … And because of their inability to accept themselves the way they are, they also miss an opportunity to build relationships with people who would accept them the way they are … It is a self-delusion to think that if you “become an important guy” you will be more loved. Yes, one will attract more “benefit seekers” in this case, but it has nothing to do with true love … And once you are at your lowest point, you turn around and see that all those “beauties” vanished, because all they wanted was to be in the spotlight …
