Why hurting people will destroy you

Maya Angelou once said: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Many people think that they can be nice every time they need something, but after they get it they can be rude or indifferent. But that doesn’t really work or works until that person meets discerning person who can read people well. That’s when person who prefers to use others for the sake of winning gets burned himself. Personally I always pay attention to how people change once they get what they want. It says a lot about who you deal with. And it’s not necessary to meet in real world. People reveal themselves online as well. I agree with you that behaving like that never pays off in the long run. People confuse kindness with naivety. As a result, they believe that “this one” will take a bait. But probably no one told them that being kind doesn’t equal being stupid.
