1 Simple Step To Accomplishing Your Dreams

How the words you say affect the things you do

Have you ever said, “I wish I could X” or “I wish I had Z” but have yet to have those wishes come true? If so, then this 1 simple step, used by successful people around the world, is key to accomplishing your dreams.

Too often, people say they wish they could do something that they aren’t doing now. The words, “I wish,” are two of the most inhibiting words in the human language and saying them decreases the chance of those wishes coming true.

By saying “I wish,” you are holding someone or something else accountable for making your dreams come true. In reality it is up to you to live your dream and you can start now with this 1 simple step!

Instead of saying “I wish” start saying “I will.”

Here’s why:

Saying the words “I will” instills an action into your mind. It holds you accountable for accomplishing your dreams. Your subconscious unknowingly takes every word literally. By saying “I will” your subconscious believes that “you will” do what you set your mind to. Saying “I will” is a simple way to train your mind to be action-oriented and ultimately accomplish amazing things!

Here’s how to start:

Practice saying “I will” when you wake up each morning. Start with small things such as “I will make 10 phone calls at work today” or even as simple as “I will go grocery shopping today.” Then think BIGGER. “I will become the top earner at my company” or “I will start my own company” or “I will climb Mount Everest!”

It’s going to feel uncomfortable at first. It’s supposed to. You may not accomplish everything right away. Be patient. Over time you will start seeing results.

When I was raising money for the non-profit organization I founded, I used this technique and said “I will raise $10,000.” We raised over $25,000 in two months and have raised over $75,000 to date.

The words you say affect the things you do, every day.

Start saying “I will” and you will achieve amazing things.
