Day 142 — Run
I did my first proper run today. Before I moved out of my flat, I was running 5k a few times a week and feeling good for it. Running just to run, sweat, and not feel like a lazy asshole.
As my move got more stressful though, my running (and posting) took a backseat. Now I find myself in a position where I can fit things in again, and running is back on my schedule. I say it was a proper run because it’s a part of a training plan for a race I have towards the end of the year.
With proper training comes proper running and that means that my intensity and distance has to be ramped up. Roughly seven miles were on my agenda and gave it my best shot. To my surprise, it went okay. I didn’t die from not running for two months. Hallelujah!
Let’s see what happens on Sunday when I do my first long run, that’s the one I’m really dreading.
