Day 147 — Friend Tings

Yesterday was about family. Today was about friends.

After finishing up at work I met up with Jake for a 10 mile run, I know right? Who does that anymore? Ha. Training started to feel real today. It’s not the one but it’s definitely good for me.

Anyway. It got me thinking about how friends have your back. A couple of years ago, I completed a Sprint Triathlon everyday in November. It was really long. Seriously. Looking back on it, I can’t even believe that was my life for 30 days. It was stupid and at the same time incredible.

You know why I did it? It was to help out my friend. He had told me about his plan earlier in the year and I thought about how much that would suck to do by yourself, so I helped him out the only way I knew how. That was by giving my time to support his cause.

Today, Jake supported me and helped me work towards one of my goals. That’s what friends are for sometimes, and I’m forever grateful for it.
