Day 67 — Superstars
Today, the world lost another superstar. Muhammad Ali’s passing hasn’t necessary taken me by surprise, but it doesn’t mean that’s what I, or anyone else for that matter, wanted.
The people that are leaving the world right now are true superstars to me. They are icons of their own, and current generations, known throughout the world for their talents and impact. It’s hitting us hard. We’ve followed these superstars for our whole lives, and unfortunately for us, they’re leaving.

Ali is a household name. He’s known by all and many have an opinion on him. In the usual rush on social media platforms where people urgently post up a picture with a 'RIP' hashtag, there’s a lot of noise. Among the noise there’s been snippets that have caught my eye today. Some snippets are new to me and I’ve seen some before.
Ali was strong, unapologetic, and proud. His words resonated with the people that he spoke for me. He made people proud to be who they are, and what they are.
One real message that I come away with when I think about what Muhammad Ali meant to me is to not be afraid of being yourself. Own it. Be proud of it and take on the world. You’ll get the respect you deserve and maybe, just maybe, you’ll be the greatest.
