Day 80 — Voice

We all know what today is in the UK and what it means for us. I’ve grown up with views on voting that have changed as time has gone. I appreciate it more now. Every now and again people chime in and tell me that exercising my right to vote means nothing and changes nothing in the grand scheme of things. When I read their messages, I stop and think about hope.

Hope that my voice does count.
Hope that it means something.
Hope that it has an effect on my life.
Hope that it can promote change.

That’s what I think about when I walk to polling stations and mark an X in my preferred choice.
