Day 82 - In to the night

Last night I wanted to go home and sleep to forget about the darkness that loomed over me all day. I wasn't afforded the chance to really take action on those feelings though, as I had made a lot of plans to see old friends that couldn't be missed.

As the night crept on, my tiredness really took over though and I slowly became more quiet and moody which is only natural I guess. I was ready to give in and head home but my friend Danny wasn't having it. He wanted to go out. Plus, we had already bought tickets to the event too. So off we headed into the night to see what it held for us.

This was the first event that our friends were throwing so we didn't know what type of vibe to expect, especially seeing as the whole City was on edge after the leave vote too.

When we finally got into the venue after the bouncers threatened to close off all entry, regardless of who had tickets we were right in the middle of a brexit argument in the toilets of all places! Thankfully I got out of that though and went straight to the dance floor.

I haven't went to a rave for a couple of months, so was excited to loosen up even though I was severely tired. The DJ got off to a clanging start but soon after found his rhythm in between old school garage and bashment. We bounced and rolled our bodies like nobody was watching and he brought us together through Kelis' Millionaire and other classics.

We didn't want the party to end. I didn't want it to end.

And to think that I wanted to just go home and close my eyes instead. Sometimes, it's good to just go with it and see where it takes you. It might surprise you.
