Day 99 — Appreciate

As we finished up a great session with Swim Dem we all started split off to go our separate ways back home. Upon leaving the centre, though, some of us were stunned by the sunset in front of us. It pierced through the sky and under the bridge in front of us to stop us in our tracks.

It brought back a memory from last summer when I saw the sun rise early in the morning. I got to see it in all its glory before it disappeared into the clouds to be forgotten until the next day. Phony PPL has a song about The Sun’s counterpart, The Moon and the intro goes like this, “That’s Why iii Love The Moon
Every Night Its There For You
Its Constant
Unlike These Human Beings”

The Sun is the same to me in those brief moments when you witness it in all of its glory.

After me and my friends scrambled to take pictures of it, one of our friends reminded us to enjoy it above all us as we stood there looking on at something that we see everyday, but only appreciate every so often.
