The “future of work” has risen to the top of the list of pressing issues for many governors over the past few years. Nearly every governor highlighted workforce preparation and access to good jobs in their 2019 State of the State addresses — demonstrating its importance across the national geopolitical spectrum. This is driven by a recognition that jobs of the future will increasingly rely on new technologies and skillsets.
