Introducing NEAR’s first On-Chain Upgradeable NFTs
GM fellow NEARGens! With our Classic Gamified Mint fast approaching, we thought it would be a great idea to share with all our favourite NEARGens what we’ve been building in the Near Future! Let’s get right to it!
Upgradeable NFTs
As a part of our mission to create an immersive on-chain gaming experience unlike any other, we are glad to be the first NEAR project to bring the community on-chain upgradeable NFTs through our unique !upgrade function live on our NF Discord RPG for Closed Beta testers.
What does this mean?
In layman’s terms, as a Nearbot Driver i.e. a Nearbot holder, you will get to decide what you would like your NFT to look like! Upgrades on your NFT will not only have a change on a Nearbot’s visual appearance but it will also impact the stats such as rarity and attributes of the Nearbot. For example, a Nearbot !upgrade directly affects their luck, and perhaps empathy or even their battery life in the Near Future as our game expands!
How do I upgrade my Nearbot?
In order to be able to !upgrade your Nearbot, you will need to firstly join our Discord, join the Discord RPG where you will be able to send your Nearbots out into the wild to !scavenge for resources. Once you !return your Nearbot these resources can be used to !craft different traits and accessories for you to customise your Nearbot(s).
All our #👾│closed-beta Nearbot Drivers have had a taste of their first !upgrade, here’s a couple to give you a flavour of what the Near Future holds.
How can I get my hands on some Nearbots?
You can currently purchase Primal Nearbots on Paras.
If you are looking to get your hands on some Nearbots from the Near Future Classic collection, you can do so by getting your hands on some Red or Gold Capz. Alternatively you can utilitise our burning mechanism where you have the choice of burning your Primal Nearbot, allowing it to evolve , making it stronger than it was in the Primal series. This Nearbot can then be used in the Discord RPG.
Here’s a little tip — whilst our floor price is below 10N, you can choose to buy one or more Primal Nearbots and burn them during the Classic Mint to lay your hands on a Classic Nearbot. For more information — you can take a read and get all the details you will need prior to the Mint right here.
