If You Post Testimonials into Your Linkedin Feed — You Need To Read This…

Now, I am not the biggest fan of posting this kind of comment as I see other content as being WAY more engaging and valuable.

However…

If you are going to do that kind of thing (and I am judging you) then there is a way of turning this particular content pigs ear into more of a silk purse.

You can use your it to identify your “Superfans”

A while ago, I was speaking to GULP music, the guys who launched pop leviathans Busted on an unsuspecting world (don’t worry, they apologised). who attributed the bands rapid rise to fame and notoriety down to their “Superfans”

Superfans are people who self select as devotees of what you do and are just “IN” for everything you do.

Busted found ways of nurturing their relationship with their Superfans by showering them with attention, so they felt part of the journey and then helped as much as they could .

If it worked for Busted with all of their “talents” — the same principle will work for you.

So, if someone is responding to your lazy-ass “Someone said I was great” posts, then they have self selected in and are people who either know you well, or like you a LOT — and want to see you do well.

And you would do well to find a way of bringing them ever more closer to you.

— Like and Comment on their posts

— Introduce them to people they might find valuable

— Arrange to meet them in person at a networking event or for lunch

— Arrange a call to see if you can work together(Thanks Sam Munslow!)

Anything you can do to deepen the relationship with them and create more shared value between you.

That way, they will continue to get more involved and help you share your message further….

Result….right? :)
