As You Like It: When Shakespeare Gives No F***s
Even the Bard could goof off when he wanted toI recently auditioned for a Shakespeare-In-The-Park production of “As You Like It.” I remembered the play as a funny, highly entertaining pastoral romp of no great consequence, in which everything ends happily and nobody suffers much at all. It’s probably the most light-hearted of Shakespeare’s comedies, and I include “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in that category.
