The Invisible beauty of insects

A friend of mine, Sachin Hegde, is an entomologist. He is pursuing his masters at University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. A few days ago he sent me this link to a website. It aptly reads “Microsculpture”.

The home page is clean and the background image is of an insect, photographed to capture every detail. Levon Biss, the photographer mentions that every photograph took 3 weeks from start of shooting to finish the post processing. Of course it will take that time, every individual image is made up of 8000 photographs. stitched using Photoshop.

It invokes wonder to look at the unseen beauty on the body of insects. Have a look at http://microsculpture.net/ .

Do not forget to zoom in on every image!
