“ Those Tiny Interpretations”

Silence that speaks :

There is something worth noticing about silence. Silence is beautiful and haunting in equal measures. Most evenings when I walk by that empty road from my work place to my home, in between a pine forest, there is immense silence around. The air is blowing swiftly. The tall trees are talking with each other. The clouds do come down and form a mist, it seems everything around is speaking to me in silence.

Silence is not void, silence is what makes us remember we are we!

Breaking barriers of Love :

Remember those old warm days back in the 90s? Letters were considered so important in those days. People used to stay miles apart, attached only by these letters. Sometimes they used to reach, sometimes they did not, but what’s striking is, for love to take it’s shape, physical meetup wasn’t necessary. Those letters used to be everything. They were hope of a better tommorow. And there is nothing beautiful in this world than hope.

Hope leads us to believe in goodness and makes us smile in the darkest of times.

Wisdom ain’t free:

An old lady down by that misty Church, who came every Sunday for the past 65 years, for morning prayer, tells me, with every prayer, she feels close to God. When I asked her, what have you learnt about your life in all of these years, she tells me, growing wisdom towards life is the toughest thing ever. Wisdom is not free. Wisdom lies in the art of letting go, in the art of unlearning things, in the art of self introspection, in the art of understanding a perspective. She believes there is no God but her wisdom says she should learn about God, so she prays every Sunday. She also tells me, societal bounds are necessary but they are not absolute.

The day we rise beyond and seek what makes us truly uncomfortable, we may have grown the right wisdom.

Value of Satisfaction:

There is this samosa shop down the alley. They make nice Kesar tea and Veg Samosas every evening. For the 1st few days, every time I went to have it post 7 pm, the shop closed, because samosas were over. One fine day, I did ask them, “ Your Samosas finish everyday by 2 hours, why don’t u increase the production and timeline by 2 more hours? It will lead to double the profit. The shopkeepers reply was “ Babuji, have u taken a buffet lunch ever? How many times could you finish eating all the items to your full satisfaction? Or Have you been invited to a lunch with a 10 course meal? Could you eat it up fully? Similarly we only eat that much we can digest.

Being satisfied in life is again very tough. But people who have that level of satisfaction in whatever they do, they don’t discourse with the creative side of things. They only rise in whatever they do.

The End Note:

You must be perplexed as a reader by now, what I am trying to convey? Well in between four different concepts of silence, hope, wisdom and contempt, all I wished to say is, small, minute things ( which gets processed as observation in our mind) matter the most, and this World is all about the way you interprete it. Interpretation of something or anything is so important. Interpretation might be right or wrong but at least when you sit and observe something and try to formulate a logical conclusion out of it, you are trying to understand life. In this age of social networking, I am sorry to say, we are losing that sense of interpretation. This also means somewhere down the line we are losing our sense of judgement.

Be silent where you need to be, be contempt where you are, be hopeful about your life and try to evolve a sense of wisdom. Your life, may you be a beggar down those streets, a hopeless lover, a geek unearthing the latest gadgets or an old man smoking his pipe in his study, shall be beautiful and meaningful. Amen.
