Coffee Adventures in Bali

Bali is famous for its luxury beachfront villas. We stayed at a villa in Bali Mengening 2 which is about 25 KM away from Kuta — a popular tourist destination.

Awesome villas in Bali

Bali is perhaps more famous for coffee than villas. We had a chance to try out Kopi Luwak — a distinct type of coffee excreted by the animal luwak. Green cherries ingested by Luwak get naturally processed in their gut resulting in a coffee with more flavour and aroma.

Napping Luwak
Kopi Luwak — Cleaned coffee beans from Luwak’s excretion.
Beans are roasted in a traditional roasting pot.
Kopi Luwak — In a ground form
Kopi Luwak — Espresso style. Available for tasting for 50,000 IDR ( $4 )
Besides coffee, a variety of tea is also available for tasting and purchase.

If you’re ever in Bali, don’t forget to try Kopi Luwak.
