51st International ´Making Cities Livable´ Conference , Portland, Oregon, June 8–12, 2014
During my semester in US, through the UMass newsletter, I got to know about the conference in Portland. I was awarded a post-graduate student award, hich allowed me to free registration. That significantly cut the costs of participation in this interesting event, which was useful especially because of lack of possibility of presentation of my work.

The conference was typically american, and talking about main problems of american cities. Personally I did not realize those problems would be so big, and difficult to resolve. Different points of views and different backgrounds of participants made the event enev more interesting.
The main conclusion of the conference is : American cities need some more of Europe in their designs. Otherwise their only solution is to become weird
