The New Story Family is Amazing

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our donors have gone above and beyond to make this happen. They have stepped up with donations and referrals, as well as sharing the story to their network. Their radical generosity is transforming a community.

They are creating sustainable change that will last for generations to come. They are making a dent in the world.

This is not our story, this is their story.

Our Core is Strong

As a startup, we’ve tried many different strategies over the past 43 days. Some have failed miserably, but some have worked. We can’t give credit for this growth to a particular strategy, but we can say that at our core, these three things have remained constant:

1. Working insanely hard — we’ve poured our hearts into this.

2. Focus and discipline — we have piercing clarity on our mission.

3. Empathy — there’s a extreme level of urgency and boldness because we understand the pains these families in the tent slum are facing.

Where It’s Coming From

Organic — the bulk of our donations have been through word of mouth. We strive to provide the best experience possible for our donors, with hopes that it will inspire them to share with their friends.

Hustle — manually reaching out to as many new people as we can: cold emails + cold calls. We’ve developed a system to be politely persistent in sharing our mission with people that have never heard of New Story.

Onward — 50 More, As Soon As Possible

It’s been over 5 years and 175 days in this hellish tent slum. Every day without a safe home means families are more prone to life-threatening dangers.

Babies are being born in the slum; futures are being imprisoned, sanitation-born diseases are rampant, and the heat is so hot inside the tents that people are going blind. Everyday, lives are at stake.

It’s been too long, and together, we must end it as soon as possible.
