Microsoft needs to come up with a Surface Phone to change its fate

Over the past couple of months, rumors have been circulating regarding the launch of Surface Phones by Microsoft Corporation in the times to come. If the company succeeds in launching a smartphone of this nature then the entire smartphone fraternity will get disrupted. Here’s a consensus on how the mobile phone industry will respond.

As per the masses, the Surface Phone is currently in its development stage. This is quite hard to digest since the company just launched its Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL smartphones. Millions of fans are still anticipating another smartphone by the Windows 10 giant that is expected to be a disruption. As per the survey reports, almost 50% of the people that are still devoted to Windows Phone are in hopes of another Surface smartphone to hit the markets.

MSFT has never been successful in the smartphone world where other tech companies like Google Inc. and Apple Inc. have made sure that the consumers consider the Windows Phone as the last possible option by all those who desire a smartphone. both the companies OS such as the Android and iOS have intrigued the masses and are dominating due to their ease of availability along with the ability to comply with consumer demands.

So far the Microsoft Surface range of products and services is considered to be the best of the company. It comprises of laptops and tablets, thus coming up with smartphones on the same lines will not be that difficult for them. The Surface range is considered to be a luxury offering by the company and has become popular in the tech fraternity. Thus, by launching a Surface Phones, things might just change for them tremendously.

So far, the tech giant manufacturers all kinds of smartphones that are high end as well as economical under its Lumia product range. So it now seems a good idea to come up with a high end name for its new range to attract the elite population. Lumia has failed to garner traction since the company could not create an identity for it similar to how Apple has done for its iPhone.

Analysts at this point do not suggest a complete scrapping of the Lumia brand, however, it is suggested to manufacture to come up with low end smartphones under the Lumia range. On the other hand, Surface Phones need to be marketed as one consolidated smartphone brand that caters to the elite and has everything what an user expects from a smartphone.
