3 quick tips to make community service hours count

George Vasilakis

Don’t think of service hours just as a requirement you need to graduate. Think of them as opportunities to help others and give back to the community. Realize that you’re doing something that’s making the world a tad of a better place

Think about how the service is making you ‘A Man for Others’. It seems like every day at school, we are told that the ultimate goal is for us to become ‘Men for Others’. Well with service hours, you’re becoming one by devoting your time and energy to helping someone else

Do more than the requirement- don’t just stop doing community service because you reached the required number of hours or are graduating. Continue helping out in the community and making the world a better place, even when you go on to college and the rest of your life.
