That example is a different matter altogether, as yellowface was and is still in fact racist and offensive. If you get someone who clearly isn’t Asian trying to play as an Asian person in a movie, then it’s going to stand out.

Compare that to the topic at hand. How can anyone really tell at first glance if someone is actually a trans person if they transition properly? You basically cannot do so unless there are some hints.
